Breakfast Oatmeal Doesn’t Have to Be Boring

Apple Pie Oatmeal with Almonds and Raisins

Apple Pie Oatmeal with Almonds and Raisins

Let me share with you a way to take regular day-to-day oatmeal to the next level without it taking a lot more time.

For many households breakfast is a rushed time of day and we end up grabbing a glass of juice or a cup of coffee and a slice of toast and call it breakfast, and rush out the door. I get it. I’ve been there. However if you are one of those people who desires a health alternative and allows yourself at least 20 minutes in the morning to have breakfast, here’s an option that really doesn’t take much longer to make than it takes to brew a pot of coffee or cook your toast. If you’re the type to plan a little ahead take a few minutes of prep the night before will make it even quicker and easier in the morning.

We’ve added almonds and raisins or cranberries, but don’t stop there. Don’t be afraid to add other flavours as well. Try raw sunflower seeds, flax seeds, chopped pecans, diced apple, etc. Don’t be afraid to experiment a bit.
